New Year. New Vous (You)....or is it?
Along with the new year comes the resolutions. You know the ones....get fit, quit smoking, quit drinking yada, yada, yada. Let's face it. We've all made some sort of resolution in life. Unfortunately, a lot of us quit before seeing any progress. This dilemma makes me question the strength of human goal achievements.
Research suggests that merely setting goals is not enough for attaining them. One must completely engross their mind around the goal and set up a written plan that helps them ‘see’ the steps from beginning to end. You know, “writing the vision and making it plain”!
For those of us that are interested in living a more healthy lifestyle, your written plan may read something like this: Eat 2 meals per day with vegetables, drink 10 glasses of water per day, exercise briskly 5 days per week...
The plan is written out to help you move in the direction of your goal. It may need to be revamped as you progress, but at least you're moving in the right direction.
This year, let us commit to a worthy goal that will empower us, change us, and carry us beautifully into the new version of ourselves.
